Celebrities: so wise. So full of insight. These Kardashians, these Trumps, these The Situations—truly they are the philosopher-kings (and queens) of our epoch.

Yeah, not so much.The general vapidity of many of today’s tabloid favorites, however, has not stopped the celebrity class from cranking out an impressive collection of literature. From Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s A Shore Thing to Debbie Nelson’s My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mother, there is no shortage of self-serving, ghost-written garbage on the shelves of local book stores.

Road Less Traveled Productions will take advantage of this literary cornucopia of cultural collapse with its new weekly comedy series, Celebrity Autobiography. Set to launch at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 at Rohall’s Corner (540 Amherst St., Buffalo), Celebrity Autobiography will be “…devoted to the outrageous foibles of the celebrity class—as represented in the words of the celebrities themselves,” according to RLTP Executive and Artistic Director Scott Behrend.
