RLTP:Blacklight’s very own improv troupe!

Meet its members!

Daniel Morris
Daniel Morris

While gazing into the eye of the storm, DAN MORRIS discovered that to the victor goes the spoils. With this new lease on life, he embarked on an odyssey full of wonder! Challenging his peers to duels of chance and love, he has found a new appreciation for listening. Daniel will continue his training till he encounters the bridge troll that holds his future bride.

Kyla J. Smith
Kyla J. Smith

KYLA J. SMITH wears a lot of hats.  A Mercyhurst College alumna, Kyla works as a Section 8 Housing Specialist for Belmont Housing Resources (WNY) and has managed the Box Office for RLTP since 2009. Kyla also hosts “Scholastic Bowl”, co-hosts “Super-Dial-A-Deal”, and lends her voice to many commercials and PSAs heard on Hometown 1340 WLVL, a radio station based out of Lockport, NY. A lifelong student of dance, Kyla currently takes class with Buffalo’s Festival School of Ballet, and performs with the Festival Ballet Ensemble. Kyla’s theatre credits include WARPD’s The Last of the Red Hot Lovers (2011) & Cosi (2010); Ghostlight Theatre’s Night of the Living Dead (2009); and NRTG’s A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (2005). Kyla loves spending her spare time with family, especially playing with her two awesome godchildren.

Emma Marioles

Emma Marioles

EMMA MARIOLES is very excited to be a part of The Domino Effect. Emma has recently portrayed the role of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray this past Summer with Niagara Fine Arts and will be taking part in Red Carpet Theater Production’s pproduction of A Chorus Line this Winter. Emma has recently trained in longform improv technique and character development, both at The PIT NYC. She has also trained in musical theatre at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, also in New York City. Emma also writes for and operates her own YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/emmawtf). She’d like to thank RLTP and her fellow Dominoes for this opportunity to pursue one of her greatest joys in life: giving people the giggles and sharing the wonderful world of improv comedy with our community.

Jacob Albarella

Jacob Albarella

JACOB ALBARELLA is a rather cartoonish actor, writer, and time-waster. Contrary to what it may seem, Jake isn’t improvising up there. He is actually jotting down quick stories and leading a rehearsal process amongst the group until perfected enough to perform, all quicker than the naked eye can see. When Jake isn’t making a fool of himself in this theater, he is on stage elsewhere or making films with his company Ma’s Meatloaf (Masmeatloaf.com). Most recently, he finished shooting the feature film Granted, which is now in post-production, and he plans to get started on more comedic short films very soon. Also, he’d like the audience to know that he is fueled by their presence and to make sure that they cause a significant ruckus throughout tonight’s show. What kind of ruckus is entirely up to you!

Matthew Chavez

Matt Chavez

MATT CHAVEZ’s journey to this stage is a long and storied one. Suffice it to say it involves suspense, intrigue, and, for some reason, Gordon Lightfoot.  Matt’s comedy experience consists of being a square peg in a round hole, and attempting to act as a normal, functioning human being in society, with hilarious results! A graduate of Niagara University’s theatre program, he is currently appearing daily as a graduate student in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Buffalo, majoring in “Not Getting A Real Job.” A veteran of the Mighty Taco circuit, he is proud to be performing in this sponsored show, and hopes for Super Mightys (plural) as compensation.  He is also thankful to the group and Road Less Traveled Productions for allowing him to be a part of this experience, and promises to keep farting onstage to a minimum.
